Reporting directly to the CEO, the Events Coordinator will work closely with the 50th Anniversary Planning Committee to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events in the lead up to and during the 50th anniversary celebrations. This role will conceptualise, plan, and execute various cultural events, exhibitions, and community gatherings to celebrate various themes. The Events Coordinator will create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maintain detailed records, reports, and documentation for each event planning process. You will be highly collaborative with the capability to work with a wide range of stakeholders internally and externally. You will have excellent project management skills and be capable of coordinating all elements of events in accordance with project timelines. You will be a strong leader with the capability to train and supervise volunteers to support event operations. You will have a high level of cultural competency and be capable of engaging sensitively and effectively with the local community to ensure that events are respectful of traditions and culture. Selection Criteria 1. Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with precision. 2. Proficient in working under tight schedules and capable of meeting project deadlines within budget consistently. 3. Experience in event planning, coordination, or related fields, demonstrating creativity and innovation. 4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders. 5. Prior experience working with Aboriginal organisations or communities, showing respect for cultural traditions and values. 6. Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while also working independently and autonomously, taking ownership of assigned tasks.
