Full Time | Permanent, Ongoing | Canberra | $150k - $160k + 12% super. This role is open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only. About the organisation The Remote Area Health Corps (RAHC), established in 2008, is a Federally-funded not-for-profit programme offering health professionals (HPs) opportunities to undertake short-term paid placements in remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The programme is designed to increase the pool of urban-based HPs available for work in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities by attracting, recruiting and orienting them and providing ongoing support and training to ensure the successful transition to remote primary healthcare practice. RAHC works very closely with its stakeholders including, Aboriginal Medical Service Alliance Northern Territory (AMSANT), Northern Territory Government Department of Health and Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS’s), to maintain the delivery of an appropriate and responsive programme.
