We need an Administrative Assistant to work collaboratively within our new First Nations Portfolio, under the leadership of our new Vice-President (First Nations), Yawuru man, Professor Peter Yu.
You will contribute to the achievement of the Portfolio’s strategic goals by providing comprehensive administrative support across the team. With your strong focus on customer service, you will be the first point of contact for staff, students and external stakeholders for the First Nations Portfolio. Your role is part of the new First Nations Portfolio, and will work closely with the Portfolio’s Executive team. You will provide administrative support across a range of areas and contribute to the implementation of the procedures and protocols for the Portfolio. We support continuous learning and professional development, and will provide mentoring and support to those candidates wanting to adapt their existing project management experience and analytic and organisational skills to the exciting world of higher education.

Selection Criteria: 1. Demonstrated administrative experience in a client-facing role in a complex organisation. Qualifications and/ or relevant training will be highly regarded. 2. Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to liaise with a broad range of people in a culturally diverse environment and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 3. Demonstrated experience in a client-facing environment, with a proven ability to respond to customer complaints. 4. Demonstrated ability to work to and apply correct procedures and policies, and show attention todetail. 5. Proven organisational skills, ability to prioritise own workload and to work both independently on routine tasks and as part of a team, escalating issues when needed. 6. Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience using the Microsoft Office suite. 7. Ability to problem solve and use initiative. 8.
