GHD has a unique opportunity for an Energy & Resources Business Group Leader based in Darwin to motivate and manage a diverse team of people, in one of the fastest growing market sectors in the Northern Territory.

Working closely with the Manager – Northern Territory you will be work collaboratively across multidisciplinary projects, bids and proposals to grow our technical capability within the Energy & Resources Team. Critical to the success of this role, you will demonstrate a focus on quality and attention to detail around performance metrics. Working on a diverse range of projects within government, defence and private clients, you will:- Develop and realise business opportunities, and ensure sustainable growth of the Energy and Resources group revenues Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, Service Leaders, Project Directors and Project Managers Secure, schedule and manage workload for the Energy and Resources group Develop and mentor people within the Energy and Resources group Facilitate and agree allocation of projects with Service Leaders Ensure the safety of people within the Energy and Resources group Build effective relationships with other Group Leaders and Support Personnel (People, Finance, IT, Marketing and other key personnel)
What you'll bring to the role: You will have degree qualifications in Engineering, and hold CPEng, or are actively working towards obtaining 15+ years professional experience, and relevant experience within an engineering consultancy. Demonstrated experience in the design of power and industrial projects i.e. power stations, zone substations, water treatment, wastewater pumping and treatment Experience and understanding of current power engineering technologies, including methods of installation, operation and configuration Experience also in Building Services Design would be advantageous Australian Department of Defence Clearance (or ability to obtain)
