Youth Off The Streets is a high profile non-denominational community organisation working for disadvantaged young people who may be homeless, drug dependent and/or recovering from abuse. Our organisation supports young people as they work to turn their lives around and overcome immense personal trauma. Our goal is for young people to leave their care drug free, with a high school education, living skills and a job.
Reporting to the CEO and as a key contributor of the Executive Group, the Director Organisation Capability will be responsible to: • Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of key functions including human resources, learning & development, cultural services, information technology, facilities, and fleet management • Lead the development and implementation of strategic services that foster a positive organisational culture aligned to YOTS Values • Identify key change management priorities, provide strategic and operational change management advice, and embed continuous improvement practices that deliver efficient services to all stakeholders • Provide support and advice to the CEO, Executive Group and Board relating to organisation performance, culture, and capability • Establish and foster strong relationships with the Executive Group, across the broader organisation and with key stakeholders, sharing best practice and contributing to broader organisational goals • Provide inspirational leadership across a dynamic multi-services team • Foster a positive work culture that is responsive and delivers cost-effective, high-quality services and support to the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in Human resource management, business administration, organisation development or related discipline along with a proven track record in delivering results in a similar position. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills should be coupled with your ability to actively engage, motivate and effectively influence at all levels of the organisation and a wide range of external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. You will meet challenges with flexibility, tact and diplomacy. You have highly developed problem-solving skills with proven capacity to plan, manage and implement strategic solutions. To be successful you must be well organised, deliver through others and hold your team accountable. An affinity for supporting disadvantaged young people and acknowledgement of cultural diversity is essential. Interested?
