This role combines study and employment as you train to become a Secondary teacher. La Trobe University's Nexus program is an employment based social justice Masters of Teaching (Secondary) based in Victoria. It is an 18 month or two year Masters program. In the first year the employment it is very part time working as Education Support Staff in a low SES school. In the second year of study it becomes 0.8 with candidates gaining Permission to Teach as a paraprofessional. Now in its third year, we are seeking social justice minded people with a desire to become a Secondary teacher
We are looking for people who have an undergraduate degree in any area, with an interest in teaching throughout Victoria. You must have a strong sense of social justice. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.
