Guardian Australia (www.theguardian.com/au) launched in May 2013 as part of Guardian News & Media (GNM), one of the largest English language newspaper websites in the world (www.theguardian.com). We are seeking a Growth Marketing Manager to join our Sydney office on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Growth Marketing Manager will work to ensure optimal execution of growth initiatives across audience development and reader revenue, working in tandem with local and global stakeholders to acquire and engage audiences and convert readers to paying supporters. Working closely with the Deputy Director of Growth, the Growth Marketing Manager will also focus on the day-to-day execution of growth initiatives, from planning and creative development to delivery, optimisation, and reporting. Key responsibilities include running marketing campaigns to amplify reach and engagement, development and execution of campaign strategy, working cross-functionally with Australian and UK teams to achieve quarterly and yearly reader revenue objectives, localising global supporter retention initiatives and global marketing campaigns, and keeping internal partners informed with regular performance reports covering channels, experiments and campaigns.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns, experience with data-driven marketing, experience using A/B and multivariate testing to optimise marketing initiatives, prior experience working in cross-functional teams and a passion for journalism, with a good understanding of the Guardian’s role and competitive positioning in the Australian media landscape.
