The Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation (ILSC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the ATSI Act and subject to the PGPA Act. The ILSC assists Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to realise economic, social, cultural and environmental benefits that the ownership and management of land, water and water related rights can bring. The ILSC provides this assistance through the acquisition and management of rights and interests in land, salt water and fresh water country.
The ILSC is seeking an organised, motivated and curious self-starter to work as a member of our dynamic ICS team. Under the direction of the Helpdesk Services Manager, you will provide timely and useful technical support and advice to end-users of our ICS systems and services, along with contributing to the efficient functioning of the business in a national multi-site environment. For many of our staff you will be the first point of contact for ICS services so a customer service focus is a must. In this role you will: • Provide ICS helpdesk support services in a comprehensive, rigorous, timely and effective manner, escalating non-routine matters as required. • Undertake routine computer system and some routine server administration and maintenance. • Undertake communications systems and IT asset administration so end-users can access relevant systems and services how and when they need to. This role is offered on a 12 month non-ongoing basis.
To be a success in this role you will have: • Broad and up-to-date knowledge and expertise in: Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system and Microsoft’s Office 365 suite of desktop applications. End-user administration using Active Directory, including Azure Active Directory. User mailbox and distribution group provisioning and maintenance through Microsoft Exchange. The enforcement and adherence to security policies, procedures and corporate governance. • Analytical and problem-solving skills in relation to ICT systems, services and hardware and an ability to manage competing priorities and to work under pressure in a busy corporate environment. • Experience in the administration of Mobile Device Management systems and working with telecommunications providers. • Understanding of the routine administration of Microsoft Windows Server infrastructure and MS enterprise communications and collaboration tools including Exchange. • Ability to take ownership of an issue and see it through to resolution including referring appropriate tasks and following up as appropriate.
