Working as part of the Coles Indigenous Affairs team, the Indigenous Affairs Manager is a senior role critical to the ongoing success of the Coles Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Plan.
Ideally based in Melbourne, this role will see you: • Provide high level advice and support to the Head of Indigenous Affairs and other key internal stakeholders • Provide leadership, development and operational support to the State Indigenous Affairs Advisors • Manage the Coles Indigenous supplier diversity strategy • Manage support programs for Indigenous business customers and remote community customers • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to increase Indigenous representation in trade and leadership roles across Coles (including internal career development) • Oversee Indigenous engagement initiatives at a store level across Victoria
Your outstanding knowledge of Indigenous histories, peoples and cultures will be central to success in the role. Well-developed stakeholder management and influencing skills will see you thrive in this role where you are expected to promote, identify and be an advocate for Coles and its desire to increase opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations, communities and customers to engage with our business. To be successful in this role you will have proven project / program management experience in a commercial environment, experience leading and supporting teams, strong understanding of Indigenous employment, career development and supplier diversity programs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
