The successful candidate will enjoy contributing to building the capacity and pipeline of the Indigenous business sector in Australia and contributing to the social and economic opportunities of Indigenous communities across the nation.
Open to Full-time or Part-time As a member of the FAC’s Impact Capital Team, the Analyst will provide input and advice to ensure there is a continued flow of innovative, business oriented and community informed proposals going forward to the Investment Committee. For a motivated and talented Investment Analyst you will have the opportunity to work on a range of proposals at any point in time across the life cycle of proposal development. You will have lots of exposure to different companies, different stakeholders, different sectors from all parts of the country. The role can be undertaken on a full-time of part-time basis. Key Responsibilities • Assist in assessing potential Indigenous business investments • Prepare proposals for review by the FAC Impact Capital Investment Committee and Credit Committee • Undertake qualitative and quantitative financial analysis and modelling to support informed decision making • Collaborate with the whole of the FAC team on project development of new investment opportunities • Monitoring and analysis of financial and social return performance of investments

SELECTION CRITERIA • Commitment to building strong and positive relationships with Indigenous business entrepreneurs • Inquisitive approach and openness to translate your developing skills to not only identify problems but potential solutions in a commercial context • Motivated, collaborative at heart and ability to work as part of a small team in a start up environment, with a sense of accountability • Financial analysis skills including building and interpreting financial statements, capable of interrogating data and financial outcomes • Willingness to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, and ability to work independently • A working knowledge of small businesses such as bookkeeping, in particular cash flow, finance applications and other operational issues that they encounter • A minimum of two years’ work experience with suitable experience in a generalist investment, professional services, corporate finance, banking or advisory background. Other Requirements • An undergraduate and/or post grad qualification in business, commerce, economics, accounting, law or engineering along with a background in financial modelling • Attendance at after-hours meetings and/or events may be required • Interstate travel may be required
