The Project Support Assistant provides a range of supporting services including policy development and strategic and statutory planning services to deliver key commitments of Plan Melbourne and the Minister for Planning’s responsibilities across the portfolio. The Project Support Officer will work collaboratively across the Planning group to assist with the statutory and strategic responsibilities of the portfolio. The role will provide the opportunity to develop a broad skill base and gain exposure to a range of strategic and statutory planning projects and planning policy functions. About the Division The Planning Implementation and Heritage Division brings together the existing Planning Projects, Places and Precincts and Heritage Victoria teams under one division to help deliver the Plan Melbourne Strategy, as well as support key programs including Distinctive Areas and Landscapes as well as oversee the Heritage Act 2017. About the Branch The Places and Precincts Branch is focused on delivering election commitments and priority implementation actions of the government’s metropolitan planning strategy Plan Melbourne and Regional Growth Plans. The Branch is responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction for key places in Victoria, partnering to align efforts across all sectors of government and the community and formulating policy and plans to implement the vision.
