Reporting to the Programs Manager, the Senior CQI Advisor is accountable for supporting a high standard of monitoring and evaluation and building a culture of learning across the Indigenous Australia Program. To do this role effectively you will have: • Strong leadership skills and ability to build the capacity of team members, while managing competing deadlines • Strong technical skills in monitoring and evaluating framework design and implementation • Strong skills in data collection, analysis and interpretation • Skills in facilitation and training delivery • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills • High level ability to build and maintain internal and external partnerships and relationships Key accountabilities 1. Support the IAP to implement The Foundation’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and Learning (MERL) Framework. 2. Develop capacity of the IAP team to conduct quality monitoring and evaluation and use learning to drive program improvement. Provide support and technical advice to the IAP team, develop guidance on good practice Monitoring and Evaluation, support evaluation use and learning through workshop facilitation and training. 3. Develop and maintain systems to collect and share performance information and learnings across the IAP projects. Lead the IAP Annual Effectiveness Review process, synthesise and share evaluation findings 4. Manage strategic evaluations to build an evidence base on effective eye health programming 5. Develop and maintain strong and collaborative relationships across the IAP team and The Foundation’s program and technical teams. 6. Collaborate and engage across the Foundation by supporting joint strategic initiatives as required.
To be successful in this role we are looking for the following: • Knowledge of and experience in approaches to CQI • Broad experience in the design and implementation of capacity building activities in Monitoring and Evaluation • Experience communicating results and findings from programs and supporting organisational learning and reflection processes • Good organisational and administration skills with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely both verbally and in written form • Demonstrated experience managing staff to deliver on goals and work plans • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations in a culturally safe manner
