The Australian National University is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Project Officer with a passion for data, analytics, systems and reporting. Reporting to the Manager, Access and Inclusion, this role will be responsible for the establishment and implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to enhance data collection, reporting and analytical capacity and the successful delivery of the University's Access and Inclusion services.
The Senior Project Officer will report to the Manager, Access and Inclusion and will be working with a range of key stakeholders including: A&I Administrator; A&I DisAbility and Equity Advisors; A&I Assistive Technology Project Officer; key personnel from ANU Exams Office/Information Technology Services; ITS Contract Manager and the endorsed software vendor. The Senior Project Officer will report to the A&I Manager, and liaise with key project stakeholders to facilitate and provide support in relation to: • Scoping, development, and implementation of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to meet A&I’s operational requirements; • Developing strategies and recommendations for the ongoing development of data collection and collation processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of A&I workplace practices; and • Coordinating data migration to the new CRM database to ensure data privacy, the security of data storage, and accessibility to data with reference to Australian privacy legislation and requirements and legislative frameworks of data sources. Under broad direction, The Senior Project Officer – (Management of Software Deployment, Migration, and Training) will: 1. Provide project support to the A&I Manager, and key project stakeholders to contribute to the project scoping, implementation, and deployment of the CRM to replace A&I’s existing Access database. 2. Liaise with key project stakeholders, working groups, external providers, etc., to synthesise operational requirements and an understanding of the collaborative environment in which A&I works. 3. Coordinate project delivery, scope, and budget in consultation with the A&I Manager to ensure the new CRM database is delivered on time, within budget, and to A&I’s expectations. 4. Coordinate the execution of features and functionality commensurate with A&I’s requirements. A key responsibility will be ensuring the accuracy of the mapped data transfer of current student records between A&I’s existing system and the new CRM database. 5. Establish a community of practice to provide training/support for A&I staff to contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of the team, to meet organisational objectives. 6. Coordinate agreed to changes to ensure the usability and ongoing relevance of the database to A&I’s operational requirements. 7. Comply with all ANU policies and procedures, in particular those relating to work health and safety and equal opportunity. 8. SELECTION CRITERIA: 1. Progress towards postgraduate qualifications and relevant exerience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training with experience in facilitating adult education and leading change management. 2. Extensive project management experience with proven ability to work within the bounds of applicable policies and procedures to achieve goals within budget, deliver measurable outcomes and manage stakeholder outcomes. 3. Demonstrated experience preparing and maintaining high quality project documentation including project plans, risk and issue registers, communication plans, business process and training documentation. 4. Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated capacity to apply them in a wide range of professional functions. 5. Demonstrated judgement and prioritisation and the ability to educate and influence others in culture adoption with understanding and strategies for supporting adults with varying levels of IT expertise. 6. Demonstrated ability to plan and think strategically, taking account of the operating environment and resources, and to translate project into concrete outcomes. 7. A demonstrated high level of understanding of equal opportunity principles and occupational health and safety and a commitment to their application in a university context.
Classification: ANU Officer 8 Salary package: $99,612 - $106,517 plus 17% superannuation Employment term: Fixed Term - 10 months (35 hours per week)
