Richard Allan is a proud Ngunnawal and Gamillaray man working on Ngunnawal Country. A love for sport shaped his early years, but a set back led him on a powerful cultural journey. Since then, Richard has brought culture to life through dance, song, art and story telling. With over 10 years of experience in cultural education, he has delivered programs ranging from cultural awareness to award-winning tours. Richard’s artworks have been spotted on Canberra Capitals uniforms, Reconciliation Action Plans and the corridors of High Schools. He is deeply committed to creating positive, meaningful change for all First Nations people and celebrating the strength of his culture. He hopes to bring this same passion and commitment to placing First Nations leaders in decision making roles.
